Tiny Tumblers

Acro dance class for children ages 3-4

Does your little one love to move? Wondering if dance is the right fit?

Join our Introduction to Tiny Tumblers Acro Class!

This drop-in program for 3-4 year olds starts February 17th and ends June 16th, it will run every Thursday except Thursday March 17th from 5:45pm-6:15pm.

Please pre-register before coming to class as we need to be mindful of our capacity limits. Your child will not be permitted into class unless you pre-register on this page.

Your dancer will learn the basics of rhythm, their lefts and rights, pointing their toes and stretching their knees, and balancing walks on their toes progressing to marches and skips. They will also learn basic acro skills and acro technique. They will learn short dance routines, some of the foundations of dance, and lots of social skills by listening to their teacher and working together with their peers. This class will not be included in our year-end show, instead it will be a fun way to see if your little one loves to dance, get them comfortable inside the studio, meet new friends, and have fun dancing to some of their favourite songs!

Arrival

Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before class. Please come in, remove your coat and shoes, encourage your child to use our washroom before class and line up in the hallway. When your teacher is ready for class to begin, she will call students one by one and bring them into the studio. You cannot sign up for class the day of at the studio, you must register online before coming. Parents are asked to wait inside while their child dances to ensure safe drop-off and pick-up. While you wait, you are welcome to watch the class through our viewing window. You will not be required to show your proof of vaccination if you are there to simply drop off and pick up your child.

Sometimes the teacher will leave the door open so children can walk freely to their parents in the hallway if they are struggling to stay in the class by themselves. If your child starts crying, please remove them from class and bring them back in again when they are calm. We want dance to be a positive experience for everyone involved! Watch through the window with your little for a bit, and then try sending them back in. Baby steps are okay!!!
